But when I watch an episode and all I can remember about it is another hour of bitching and moaning.. Doesn't make for a good show for me.

I liked the original Night of the Living Dead. And a character piece with people stuck in the house, who don't all get along. With the Zombies mainly in the background has been a lot more entertaining than the last two seasons of Walking Dead.

It's been hard to try and put a finger on it. But it has felt to me all down hill mainly since season one unfortunately.
The Purple Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13704288702336392845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-20086649736352426512013-02-22T11:46:11.510-04:002013-02-22T11:46:11.510-04:00Yeah, it's just you!
Seriously though, I love...Yeah, it's just you!

Seriously though, I love this show. Part of what makes it so interesting to me is the emotional element. I like the arguing. It seems more realistic. These people are scared, tired, hurt, hungry and emotionally drained. They have lost their wives/mothers and other family members and friends.

There has been enough changes in the first 3 series that have kept me on the edge of my seat. While I love the prison setting, I do like it when they get outside. However after how the trip to get formula turned out I'm not sure how many field trips they'll be taking!

Oh yeah, zombies. They are awesome too. The special effects never cease to amaze me.

As for the zombies being a backdrop to the story...aren't they always? Look at the original 1968 Night of the Living Dead by Romero. A lot of the drama came from the cast of survivors boarded up in the farm house. Sure there was plenty of zombies surrounding the house, but the focus was on the living and how they reacted, especially with each other.

I'm not bored with the series at all. In fact I can't wait for each Sunday's episode to see how the story is going to change. I'm not a reader of the comics so all of this is new to me. flywheelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17404740580161509052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-16359342356461158442012-10-05T20:58:15.286-03:002012-10-05T20:58:15.286-03:00I have my original Fort Max from when I was a kid ...I have my original Fort Max from when I was a kid that is still complete, but I'm still getting this. Had it happen again. What's the point when they can use dummy addresses to skirt the shipping restrictions and then I need file a cancellation. And then Ebay tells me if the buyer disputes, they will still cancel the auction for me. But stick me with the closing fees.

Definitely a buyers paradise, but I can't imagine how anyone sells. Unless it's all small ticket items. I've been using both the TFW2005 forums and Yardsellr.com with great success. Yardsellr is 100% free for sellers. It may not have the best interface for buying, but I've sold many TFs that collector's didn't want on Yardsellr. I even sold my two Hercules bots for my asking price of $80 each.flywheelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17404740580161509052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-68688493325821418222012-08-07T16:04:43.566-03:002012-08-07T16:04:43.566-03:00You could always post a sales list here on your bl...You could always post a sales list here on your blog, that way a few other die-hard fans would see it. eBay is always a royal pain, especially for sellers. I've been selling on there for years and it only gets worse. But unfortunately it is the largest pool of customers and for that reason it will always have a monopoly in the online auction game. I try to deal off eBay as much as possible, but it is often a last resort.Eric Warrenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09824920224981897855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-65743470348839314902012-07-22T21:15:01.423-03:002012-07-22T21:15:01.423-03:00I understand your desire to cut back. I find myself feeling more and more ambivalent towards the Classics/Generations line to the point that I haven't even bothered to look at any of the 12 Wal-Mart stores in my area even while shopping for something else. It's nice to get updated figures, but I'm kinda focused on finishing my G1 holes first.Optimal Omegahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12112470936085807477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-87001128202916295492012-07-19T22:58:02.550-03:002012-07-19T22:58:02.550-03:00Believe me, I thought about going at it with an ax...Believe me, I thought about going at it with an axe and straight back to G1, RiD, Masterpiece and a few favorite pieces. My shelves are also jam packed and I have no space left. But I love my Beast Wars collection.. I still have more to cut out, but I will probably leave subsequent rounds of pruning until I can sell most of what I have up for sale right now.

I started back mainly with TFA, but I could see me selling it.

Not too mention all the trouble finding things, and poor distribution. If I could find things on sale at retail I could have saved a bundle. But, I can't and end up buying online at full retail or just below. It takes some of the fun out of it.

I'm not sure I would call it quits completely, but I grew up in the 80s and I could see going back to my roots (G1) and the next big revival (Beast Wars) and call it a day. And a couple Masterpieces (Pretty much 100% G1) a year would be a lot easier to manage and display.

Plus, with the Warhammer league starting up here. It gets me out of the house, and I enjoy the modeling and playing aspect of that hobby. Toy collecting out here is pretty much a solo afair. You buy it, and put it on a shelf. Not quite the same, when you live so far away from the conventions. You don't get to hang out with other collectors. I don't know how some people do it, but I have so many hobby dollars and they need to be divided somehow. The Purple Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13704288702336392845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-35012803741785570832012-07-19T22:49:17.344-03:002012-07-19T22:49:17.344-03:00This comment has been removed by the author. The Purple Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13704288702336392845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-25867434552354234292012-07-19T12:15:42.333-03:002012-07-19T12:15:42.333-03:00Hey bud I'm right there with you. If you saw the TV spot on my collection from earlier of the year (January 2012 - check my older posts) my shelves are packed and stacked.

I too am looking at refocusing my collection yet again, but this time biting the bullet and dropping most everything not G1/G2, Robot Masters, Classics/Generations and probably Prime (for now). That means bye-bye to what I have left of Beast Wars, Beast Machines, RID, A/E/C trilogy, Movie and Animated.

I'm hoping it'll free up more space so I can spread out the stuff I do plan on keeping. It should bring with it some extra cash which my family and I could use.

I'm not ready to call it quits yet, but like many others it's time to bring it back in a bit more.flywheelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17404740580161509052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722414623190761435.post-46741540246199143552012-06-18T19:55:57.647-03:002012-06-18T19:55:57.647-03:00It was kind of surprising at first.
